If you HAVE NOT yet decided on a Community Partner...
1. Read through the list of examples again. What kinds of organizations, or what kind of work do you initially find most interesting?
2. What kinds of skills do you have, or would you like to develop as a part of this project?
3. What would you like to be able to say that you've done? For example, imagining yourself applying for a job two years from now, what do you think would make a useful experience which you could include in your resume?
4. List 3 organizations you could partner with for this project.
5. Describe, for each of the 3 organizations, one set of work you might do with them.
6. Choose the one of those 3 that would be your first choice.
7. What would you get out of the project you chose? In what way will this project be "learning"?
8. What would your partner organization get out of your work with them? In what way will the project be "service"?
9. Could that work be completed during the course of this semester?
10. What is your next step to make this project happen?
If you HAVE already decided on a Community Partner...
1. Describe the project you'll be doing in detail.
2. When will you do this work? Give dates and deadlines.
3. How will you get to and from the place where the work will be done?
4. What skills do you hope to develop as part of this project?
5. What will you get out of this work? In what way will this project be "learning"?
6. What will your partner organization get out of the work? In what way will the project be "service"?
7. Are there any remaining obstacles to moving forward with this organization?
8. If so, how and when will they be resolved?
9. What concerns do you have about interacting with your partner organization or its clients?
10. What is your next step moving forward with this project?
